Every stud was re-used to fill in a recycled steel skeleton.

This level of salvage significantly cut both cost AND our carbon footprint.

 

Big windows salvaged from Mamaroneck, NY passive house.

Small windows and doors salvaged from the original home.

A new life for salvaged garage lumber…… as finished cellar floor of new home.

Still a 2-car garage, with better rear yard setback,

Contains solar thermal & geothermal mechanical room upstairs.

Garage old location is now a paver patio under a shade tree.

Pavers salvaged from a Upper West Side roof deck project of ours
