Exterior Membrane
Taped sheating, Solitex Mento, Tescon Tape work in conjunction with VOC-free sealed Foamglas exterior shell as extremely durable method of keeping water out.
Wet Room Waterproofing
Schulter wet-room waterproofing was put throughout all bathrooms and the open kitchen/living/entry areas of the home.
We chose Schulter because it’s a fully bonded, watertight assembly for tiled areas. Eliminates failures due to penetration, and installs rapidly.
Interior Vapor Control
We chose Intello Paper – a smart Wall Vapor control / Indoor Airtight Barrier for the following specifications:
- Winter-Closed – High diffusion tightness (0.17 Perm, protection against condensation)
- Summer-Open – Max diffusion openness in summer (13.20 Perm, facilitates rapid drying to the interior)
- Translucent – allows insulation to be inspected
- Lightweight & easy install vs. OSB/Plywood sheathing
- Recyclable
- Air permeance per ASTM E2178 0.00005cfm/ft2
- Class A material per ASTM E84 test (0 FS, 35 SDI)
Intello paper was added as a final airtight layer to the interior before gypsum, and sealed with Tescon tape.
